You may offer extra services to your guest at the time of booking, perhaps bicycle hire, a sightseeing trip, meal, parking etc.

*Optional will let your guest add an item

*Optional Qty in which case the guest can freely enter the quantity of this item they would like to book.

*optional % items are added as a percentage of the bill, add the percentage amount to the Amount field.

Obligatory items will be automatically added to the booking and cannot be removed by the guest. An example would be an end of stay cleaning charge.

*Obligatory % items are added as a percentage of the bill. In this case enter the percentage in the Amount field, the Period field is ignored.

*Obligatory Cleaning will be applied to the booking page. It will not send to OTAs. Some OTAs allow to send cleaning fees. For information where to set this up see the channels help pages.

*Obligatory Percentage Tax type is like the Obligatory Percentage type except it that it will be added to the "Price" field and the "Tax" field in the "Charges and Payments" tab the booking.

The percentage values are calculated based on the Per value as follows:

Per = Booking
The percentage is calculated on the room price plus all selected extras defined before this one. Extra items defined after this will not be included in the percentage calculation.
This could be used to add tax free items after the tax calculation.

Per = Room
The percentage is calculated on the room price only.
